For anyone who is doubtful about our attitude towards Shills, please feel free to read through these quotes:
Acenci's Greatest Hits:"Maybe this could be compared to the Soviet Union under Communism or Germany under Nazism. They sacrificed everything for the well-being of the nation, and killed millions to protect the well-being of their citizens, and then they did not even achieve that objective."
"I think he is not different than many revolutionary leaders who ended up killing their former comrades, Hitler killed Ernst Röhm, and Stalin killed Trotsky. He killed the forum founders. All of them."
" I think I understand him a little bit. I don't think he thought I was a shill. I think he has a temper problem and, like a child, cannot accept people disagreeing with him. I understand him because I am probably like him in many aspects, although of course I wasn't the administrator so I kept my ego at bay. But, had I been a leader of a movement, I would have been hypersensitive to disagreement and turned into a dictator, too. The typical "power trip" as they say."
"But you know what helped me? That he banned another 3 people along with me. And you know why he did it? To make me feel better. After realizing he had made a mistake by losing his temper, he tried to correct his mistake by putting me in a group with other banned people, so to make me feel less humiliated."
"Anyway, I understand him. And, while I was initially very offended and he certainly acted like Robespierre during the Reign of Terror or Stalin during the Great Purge, I have almost completely forgiven him, because I am forgiving myself by doing so."
"This little event of being banned after working for a month for a cause, and to help a leader, whom I admired and who ended up accusing of being a "shill", made me understand history better, and how many politins and revolutionaries end up dying because of being betrayed (think of Hitler and Ernst Röhm, or Stalin and Trotsky) or how they end up killing their former comrades. Something which I have sometimes wondered about. Now I understand it, because it happened to me, on a smaller scale because we are on the web."
"I don't know much about flat earth, I am not willing to read entire books on it."
"The non-shill clues are:
1) he sounds very sincere
2) he is very polite via email to unknown fans
3) he talks about his personal life all the time, people, family, places
4) he provides personal details in each of his videos, such as phone number, house address, and email"
"Yeah, I guess it still hurts. Those words hurt me and I am starting to dislike George Harrison because of associating his image with those personal attacks I received."
"He should either found a political party and act like he is acting, or keep quiet about these subjects. You can't create an IFERS forum and... not just spread but even ENFORCE those other beliefs he has"
"We praise his work, we condemn his behavior with us (and others). Also, he just did us a great favor by banning lots of people along with us, so we don't feel as offended. And maybe, deep inside, subconsciously, it is his way of apologizing to us."
"Another major mistake, that he will have to address and correct is this:
1) either create a forum entitled "my fan club", "my political party", and then ban people who disagree, and no one will be surprised
2) create a forum entitled IFERS and let people respectfully disagree
3) don't create a forum"
"We have been avenged by him kicking out more people after us. We were shown that it is not our fault, that we don't have to be ashamed about anything, that we are in good company."
"But good principles do not always win... look at what is happening on IFERS, where betrayal of people has been rewarded in terms of hits. And look at the people in power for a further confirmation of this: JFK died, and his assassin Bush went on to become a US president."
"In a sense he is our man on the inside, because he is telling all the future banned users that we are the alternative to them. Furthermore, by behaving so badly and telling everyone how much he dislikes us, he is actually telling people "those are the good guys"
"You were lucky to not go through the trauma we experienced. Some of us have spent one month advertising his forum, and we wrote hundreds of thoroughly thought out posts. Then suddenly we were banned and defamed as "shills". Imagine how we felt. The only good thing is that we were banned all at the same time, so it hurt a little less (maybe he did it for this reason)."
"I am quite satisfied that we reached a number of 24 members. I don't feel alone anymore. This helped healing my wounds of being defamed and mistreated as many of us have been at IFERS."
"Now that we are 24 members, it will be hard for them to argue that we are all "shills".
"Also, I would pay for some ads on IFERS, telling all the prospective "shills" to join us as soon as their freedom of speech is threatened by the lizard and George Harrison."
"I was hoping we'd replace IFERS as a flat earth forum. Whereas now they're at 600 visits per day, 10 times as much as us. And also they have 10 times as many members."
"You should not welcome people who "completely agree" with you, but you should welcome people who "respectfully disagree" with you."
"Well, if they all changed personality, they would not be intolerant anymore. We would have achieved a great objective. We would not be going back to a "racist, hateful, paranoid" group, but to one that has apologized to everyone, that has changed attitude and personality. Maybe it won't happen, but I see no other way out for them. They can't keep on going this way. Their theories are just too unpopular to be as intolerant as mainstream media is. I am not saying their theories are necessarily wrong, but they cannot afford to have such minority beliefs and on top of it be so intolerant, because in such a way they will never manage to convince anyone and make a difference, which would seem their objective. Let alone their objective of "peace", which they certainly will not achieve with their present attitude."
"If he were smart, here's my advice to him. You've got over 300 members there and potentially a lot of traffic. It could become the best flat earth forum there is.
Get some good tolerant moderators who will patrol the forum (each moderator with his sub-section) and ensure:
1) mutual respect
2) serious tone (no joking around, no smileys allowed)
Then unban all the dozens of members whom you have banned and accused of being "shills". Write one post apologizing to all of them at once.
Make peace with everyone, including all the famous truthers (e.g. Mark Sargent) you have accused of being shills, without being certain about it - partly you lost your temper out of jealousy (which I understand given all the years you have worked on the subject, but your bad temper is counterproductive).
The alternative is to keep allowing our forum to grow at your expense. Every day we get one new member thanks to your behavior. Eventually you will always have your 3 fans, and hundreds of banned users.
You can't call IFERS a "forum" and ban those who respectfully disagree with you (and without antagonizing you), according to your fits of anger. I never even said "you're wrong about this" but only "maybe Sargent is not a shill". Let alone the others who were responsible of even smaller crimes.
Another tip: make someone else the administrator. Someone who will let everyone join and not ban anyone unless they're disrespecting other members. Make your forum about "peace" and not just your signature."
"If he apologizes to all he has offended, unbans everyone, and resigns as administrator, we can forgive him."
"We are upset with Eric, but we are his friends, too. And even if one of us was an agent, we would be his friends."
"Also Dubay seems impulsive but not as unstable. Mark Sargent seems very rational and calm instead."
Defending the Concave Earth Theory:
"These people do not seem to lack scientific foundations, as accused by the flat earthers."
"Great ridicule by everyone regarding flat earthers, in one case motivated by Joseph with the faulty claim that for us the earth is always rising, but Steven corrects him: "they have different camps". Good imitation of Eric Dubay by Steven, who summarizes the situation by saying "...You flat earthers have a million times more problems than what you think we have problems with, which we don't".
"Steven talks about me and this forum, and about how the flat earthers are at each other's throats.
My own reasoning here is that we are at each other's throats because we're all mentally unbalanced, rather than because we are discussing conspiracy theories. We are mentally unbalanced because we spend too much time online (and maybe also we spend too much time online because we are mentally unbalanced, in a vicious circle)."
"A good way would be to register a domain, and to put ads on IFERS, as I said before, but the main problem seems to be, rather than money, that none of us wants to use his real name, which would be inevitable in case we make an online payment."
Hope this confirms it for anyone who was still unsure whether or not Acenci & his clan were RAGING shills.
