That's right. They've got freedom of speech in this field (as far as verbal abuse, Eric is quite tolerant), so they certainly can come up with more creative ideas. We are OK with any insults, as long as they talk about us, because right now things are not looking very good for us. We didn't hold true to our "mutual respect" value, and as a consequence we lost a few members.

But I don't need much strategy, because they're so aggressive that as long as we stay together, we will beat them, because they are much more aggressive to one another than we are. So my prediction is that they will split, and that, if we stick together, we will beat them.

At the same time, there's an ongoing situation that makes me sympathize with them, especially Eric. He created this forum of his, IFERS, merely to spread his opinion on the truth, and it is subtracting precious energy from his life, and without any real advantage. And I wonder: how long can he keep it going? He is basically working for free, more than 8 hours a day, in an online psychiatric hospital, of which he is one of the patients. Indeed, all these forums, especially the "conspiracy theorists" ones are like psychiatric hospitals, because, due to our lifestyles, we are mostly unhealthy and unstable and even hostile to others. Add to this that people on the internet behave even worse, because there are no punishments for anything. With his paranoia, he is probably reading all the posts, especially the three above, wondering who (what agency) sent that specific member there, and what that member's secret agenda might be. For example, for the airplane pilot, who can't spell, Eric is probably wondering if he's a real airplane pilot or is just there to waste his time asking for flat earth maps. That's how he ended up banning a few people already, because of their spelling mistakes and his faulty paranoid reasoning. For the @messyanicmisfit user (that is her real username), he is probably wondering not if she is genuine, because she is, but how long she is going to challenge him (she's pretty straightforward)... if she does it for too long, he's probably going to end up banning her. That would be unfair and that is exactly why were so upset, as we had done even more for his forum. The problem is that IFERS is built on faulty grounds: 1) if it is a forum, there should be freedom of speech, but there isn't 2) if it is a flat earth forum (and IFERS stands for International Flat Earth Research Society), then people should not risk being banned or attacked for their other views on religion or other topics So the IFERS forum was built on two shaky premises and foundations: 1) it is not true to its nature of "forum", 2) it is not true to its name "IFERS". I think he will end up closing it or letting someone else run it, which was my suggestion anyway, in that he cannot be moderator of his forum for two reasons: 1) he's not balanced enough to not abuse that power (and so he bans people who disagree with him) 2) probably no one is balanced enough not to abuse that power. This morning I find I've been banned! I've not mentioned religion nor have I been impolite or abusive to anyone. I was happily exploring the FE model, in hope that I can make sense of it and all was going well... Then I watched a video on this site where the poster shows a graphic of two people standing on a globe, 90 degrees from each other and looking at a half moon. The posters point was that at the equator the moon should also appear 90 degrees turned, i.e. The shadow is horizontal. Till that point I too thought people living on the equator saw the moon with a vertical shadow and that this was further proof of the FE model. In fact I got quite excited thinking this was something that proves FE very well and something that could be presented to a sceptic as an easy to grasp proof. However, a quick search of Google images and I find there's lots of photos of a moon with a horizontal shadow when viewed from the equator. So I return to this forum and post my question, hoping that someone who grasps FE better than I do - as I've only recently started researching it - could explain to me why this rotating moon shadow, which appears to support FE, actually supports the global model theory. The I got banned... why? Banning someone for asking a logical question about a model this forum was set up to support and promote seems a bit odd, and excessive. It is definitely at odds with a Virgo mind Eric. Being a Virgo too, Eric, I know, and you should too, that the question of why the moon's shadow rotates as you travel south is something that FE opponents can throw at this argument as evidence of a globe shaped earth. If this point can not be addressed by proponents of the FE model then it leaves us in a very vulnerable position. We are not risking anything like that. 3) Eric is offering his knowledge for free (writing on his forum several hours per day and all the other work he does - the sales from his books are a minuscule issue and income). We're providing, overall, much less information to flat earthers. 4) Eric and his die hard fans are mostly in good faith, and they're treating everyone with the same intolerance and aggressiveness as they treated us. There are no personal attacks to people regarding their spelling mistakes or other personal details. Members there almost completely attacked for their ideas, which is certainly intolerant, but it is not as low as personal attacks, as for example, that YouTube user who criticizes Eric for his martial arts skills. As far as attacking members for their ideas, lately we did not display a perfect record either. Although we have fewer attacks here, the biggest difference is that no one has gotten banned. But the problem is that they're leaving on their own, due to a lack of mutual respect. No one likes to get insulted. The best approach to a forum is seeing it as a place where people exchange information and points of views, and not a place where people convince others of their points of view. If you assume this latter approach, you will end up wasting people's time, and making everyone frustrated in the process. You must not expect to convince anyone, and particularly you must not insult their views after failing to convince them. It seems that very few people understand these basic rules.

I took your advice and related to what you said about the controlled opp side of things. At the north pole it is vertical, at the south pole it is vertical and a mirror of the north pole view. This is a three dimensional issue that I have trouble incorporating into my FE model; it is the question I can't answer if asked.... which means I haven't 'done FE'. If the people on this forum who have 'done FE' and are now the leaders in the field, then if anything, your priority should be on providing answers to such questions to people entering your flat world for the first time. There is still some questions to the flat earth theory to me as well, I think no one has all the answers, no matter how convincing someone may seem, there are sgill different perspectives, partly due to eaxh mans condition and exoerience,and to my opinion, the flat earth is not something that can be understood by applying the reasoning faculties of the mind, reason can only take the truth to a certain extent, reason is a great tool, but it has its own limits, like it has its very own ice wall surrounding it
I have been watching videos on the flat earth, but there is this feeling inside me that there is something missing or empty, about this theory and what the true shape of the world is. There is some living aspect of it missing.
Our material bodies cannot travel to the edge of the world, there the weather is too chilly, most likely one would die before he or she gets to the edge and never return, and we cannot legally just go up on a rocket or else the government will shun us for doing so.
I think we have already stretched our own reasoning abilities to a great extent, and will come to an end
The information has already been gathered, expirements countless made, yet there is still disputes wether there is a concave or a flat earth. There is a finite information we have, and from there, only a finite conclusion can be made, and given a set of dots,no matter how much, there will always be a certain number of lines connecting two dots.
The next step would be to ask God or at least sit in silence waiting and drawing upon some inspirations and hints, the answer asked will be received,perhaps dreams are another form of hinting, time will bring only the answer. It is that ereka that struggles to work its way through, and having been doing this for some time on who controls the world, and this flat earth theory, here are some of the hints I picked up through silent prayer and meditation:
The earth has the things that can cure all sicknesses and diseases, herbs and plants have special remedy effects, and weed the medicine plant gets banned and no one cannot use it. Except for medical purposes, but now it is illegal
It used to be lushy. Full of life, beautiful, weather was not hot or cold, just the right temperature almost anywhere, no extreme weathers
Part of the earth is hidden, and is quarantined from view. The ice wall once never existed and behind it could contain some higher dimensional land, that the Atlanteans once inhabited or could have access to, and after the degeneracy,this hidden land disappeared and in lay a large ice wall, guarded with ice cold weather and blizzard.
It is impossible to cross the border, only when peace is established again can the ice wall melt and the weather subside
Which means the earth we see now has a hidden area no man can have access to, no manmade invention or camera can see beyond the wall, and take pictures, the electromagnetic or ether frequencies would "destroy" and distort the light waves, making the horizon look warped, inconsistent, blurry
The shape we see now is not actually the true shape, it is only a quarantined area

It is quite interesting how the knowledge that the sun is blinding makes the white color of the sun seem more blinding than the same exact white of a white square, which in fact contains much more white than the picture of the sun and does not seem blinding at all (compare sun at top with white square at bottom, but first click on it to see it fully magnified):  |

I am a supporter of the flat earth theory, and made a relatively polite comment about the Bible, as a comment to your post. Now I can't read any threads even if I a do not intend to comment. I understand and agree with your arguments against organized religion, and prepackaged belief systems, but it seems unfair to ban someone just because of differences on theological questions and the accuracy of the bible. Would you ban Christian flat earthers like Charles K Johnson or Rowbotham if they had also commented here? I simply responded to your claim about christians believing in Jesus just because of the Bible, but truth is many Christians have come to their beliefs by carefully weighing the arguments, some were born into it yes, but others have made up their own mind. Ah, ah... no, he wouldn't have banned "Christian flat earthers like Charles K Johnson or Rowbotham", because he's only brutal with unknown people, even if they are his fans. With famous people, he's much nicer. For example, he banned me because I defended Mark Sargent, because he says Mark Sargent is a "shill". But he did not ban Mark Sargent himself. I promoted his forum everywhere for a month, and wrote 500 thoughtful posts on it. But I am nobody, so he was ruthless with me. But Mark Sargent did nothing for him, and yet he is still a member there. In the same way, he invited Caesar back, and TET, to some degree, too. Today I resumed my trading, my discretionary trading I mean. It went OK. I am not going to say any numbers, but it's not much in terms of trading. Actually I had resumed a week ago. But I blew out my account as usual. This wasn't the optimal period for me to trade because these flat earth forums are very destabilizing, due to all us sick maniacs interacting with one another, and, instead of providing each other with the support we need, making our emotional and mental balance much worse than if we just interacted with the sheeple. I am basically not yet a profitable trader, after trying for many years. But I still keep trying. For many years I have run a server where I "forward-tested" my automated systems, which are profitable. But I don't have enough money to invest with them, because they require much more than discretionary trading requires. In some periods, I had reached the necessary funds, through discretionary trading, but I blew it each time. Because I wanted more. Also, the money I had made got to my head, and made me less cautious. Oh, well. The most famous trader of all time, Jesse Livermore, won and lost fortunes several times, and he ended up committing suicide, after losing everything for the umpteenth time. I'll be glad if I can do slightly better than that, which is not hard. Until now, I had not resumed my (discretionary) trading because all the funds were used for renting that server in the US, which I recently stopped renting. I finally figured that, aside from the fact that I have enough data (years of forward-testing), if I don't get to the bottom of profitable discretionary trading, once and for all, I will never have the funds for automated trading. So, why forward-test my systems anyway? At any rate, they stayed profitable for several years, and they're not likely to stop being profitable. Other than this, I joined Steve's Concave Earth forum. The interface does not seem a good choice, and the web url address is too long. They're going to need to fix that. However, I have seen some incredible things over the years, such as impractical forums with long web addresses which nonetheless had huge success. So, despite seeing that long address... welcome-to-concave-earth-forum.70389.x6.nabble.com/The-Concave-Earth-You-Live-Inside-f1.html... I still registered, and all the more so when I saw that they started with such a handicap. In fact, this should be a reason to support Dubay and his fans, too, because they have several handicaps: their opinions on Jesus, on the Holocaust, on the necessity to be vegans... I would be and should be for their right to speak out... but the only problem is that they treated me so badly that my resentment keeps me from wanting to help them, and from sympathizing with them. But, as time will go by, especially if we first beat them with this forum, I may be able to forgive them, to support them, and show them the way. --- In fact, I was thinking, rather than having such a frustrating interaction with people, it is much better that I was banned from that forum and that this forum, too, becomes deserted, as it is already happening. That way, we all stay by ourselves, each one on his thread. Better being by yourself, than in bad company, as they say in Italy. Meglio solo che male accompagnato. And after the unpleasant interactions of the last few days, I am now enjoying my solitude on this thread. Better alone, than harassed. Having grown up with a negative hypercritical father, I am more sensitive to criticism than average, but I also believe that in general negativity has a very destructive effect. |

Latest spamming spree advertising campaign on FacebookThis was the text: Given that I have recently been banned from two Flat Earth groups on Facebook, for defending steve from ad hominem attacks (more details here), my latest campaign was not as successful, because the Flat Earth groups are the most profitable. I spammed about 20 Facebook groups in total, ranging from 911 to Space Travel groups. So, this time I spammed zero flat earth groups. Yet it still brought 100 extra guests within a span of 24 hours. After a few days of not "spamming" any Facebook groups, we had gone down to below 200 guests per day. So, after monitoring for 24 hours after posting the message on Facebook groups, the statistical data at the bottom of the homepage, my assessment of this latest campaign is as follows: within 2 hours, about 40 extra guests, and zero new members within 12 hours, about 70 extra guests, and zero new members within 24 hours, about 100 extra guests, and zero new members So these campaigns do not bring new members as a rule. We only get those from Dubay's forum, either through the banner or their " Shill Forum!" thread, which has now 4,999 views, that is to say more than any other thread here, and more than most of their threads there. My guesstimate is that those previous campaigns on Facebook, which included all Flat Earth groups, produced about 150 guests within a span of 24 hours. So, as a conclusion, this is how we reached over 400 guests per day: that is merely through a series of spamming campaigns on Facebook, just as I had thought. Without those, we are stable at about 200 guests per day. This was just a statistical test, and I don't plan to run many more campaigns in the future, also because they do not bring any new members. Probably from 20 or so spamming sprees on Facebook (each one including 20 groups on average), all we got is 5 more members. Since I only did about 20 of these promotion campaigns, and we only got a total of 5 members from them, it is not worth it to continue. Also because those 5 members now are all inactive anyway. But the truth is that it was intelligent promotion, so those being spammed actually liked them, and only one of these hundreds of messages I left (20 times 20, equals 400) resulted in me being banned from one of these Facebook groups.

So far I understand half of what is going on, and about 20% of their sentences. Good enough for me, given the speed. There is no way I could ever speak to someone given what I know right now. The radio is better for learning, but more boring, because I could not find any interesting radios. So I end up listening much less radio than I watch movies, and so I am better off watching movies. I made a point over a year ago to only watch movies in German. |
