After encountering several "ad hominem" attacks, to me and to others, here and on other forums, it is time to write a post that clarifies my thoughts on this subject.
Given that these attacks are not good for discussions as they frustrate people and escalate into arguments:
1) how do we quickly identify them?
2) what is the best way to deal with them?
1) How do we quickly identify them? What are personal attacks?
a. assuming/implying bad faith/dishonesty by our interlocutor. Examples: "I wonder if you're trolling", "that is a lie", implying in any way that your interlocutor works for the government, "you have stolen an idea available on IFERS and claimed it as your own", etcetera.
b. belittling/ridiculing the interlocutor for personal characteristics. Examples: irony/criticism on spelling or grammatical mistakes, calling him or his theories "dumb", "delusional", criticism on personal life, or any other personal characteristic (nationality, gender, age, race, beliefs, etc.).
We cannot expect our interlocutor to keep on peacefully discussing with us after we have insulted him in such a way. What instead can be (respectfully) contested is the content of what someone says. We cannot ridicule someone because he believes in ghosts, but we can respectfully say why we do not agree with that belief. We cannot say he is lying, but we can correct something we consider "inaccurate" by providing our sources and reasons for disagreeing: instead of "that is a lie" we should say "I believe that to be inexact, because...". We should not say someone is a "hypocrite", but we should point out exactly what we think is contradictory in his behavior. We should not write "you're arrogant" but we should instead write "why are you talking as if you were the supreme judge and authority on the truth?".
2) what is the best way to deal with these attacks?
After having explained that we consider someone's post a personal attack, whether it is directed at us or anyone else, we should refrain from engaging in the same activity, and quit discussing. Actually, as long as possible, we should try to keep discussing and ignore the part of someone's post where he attacks you "ad hominem", but when we realize that it is hard to remain objective once this happens, we should avoid further interaction, lest we escalate the conflict by replying rudely.

Run a business and I have proven to be very savvy yet this is what I get when I use my spare time to research topics that it only am I interested passionate about as I want to know the truth. This has been the case with him since my very big awakening and obviously this threatens him. I intend to keep seeking out the truth no matter what. It has been established that if you question the master the ban is pretty much inevitable. IFERS must be some sort of a circus show with a very authoritative master and a bunch of devoted slaves.

About 2 weeks later I was moved to click on a link on that Rothschild group that was Eric's freemasonry connections full length and I was speechless. I have since studied the Freemason deception and knew instantly Eric was right on the money. Mindblown and earth shattered, I watched every video I could find in a frenzy. I am sharing this info by posing questions to people that only a flat earth can explain. So far I have woken 6 others up to the Truth and have others stumped. My niece has a Doctorate from MIT in Engineering. She specializes in sound waves. She is stumped and said she would research one of my questions. I asked why can I see the Superdome on a clear day from mile marker 22 of the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway bridge traveling from the Northshore when the lake is only 16ft deep max and 24 miles max across. The dome is a few miles inland from the lakeshore too so it would be even farther. No scope used and I understand the Southshore is supposedly below sealevel while the Northshore is above sealevel but it is not a discernible distance to account for the equation calculation. I said geometrically it is impossible with the calculation we are given to figure curve. Also when travelling the twinspan which crosses the East end of the lake the causeway appears flat as the surface of the water. She asked if I thought that was an optical illusion. I said only the optics of heat rising from the surface might make it appear larger but that wouldnt explain the curvature or lack thereof. I still want a satisfactory answer from someone but I suspect it will be something taken directly from a text book. Also, I am much more in tune with my spirituality now. After awakening my best friend, she was reading Revelations to me, it moved me to tears like I was finally being shown the light. I was hit by a BMW as a pedestrian at 45+ and resuscitated twice. 62% bloodmass on the road from the hood ornament gash in my back that cut the bottom of my liver off. Collapsed lungs, smashed spleen, smashed and lacerated liver, several broken bones, TBI, Glasgow coma scale of 3. I defied odds by surviving. Ive been guided since that day to go and do what I am told in my heart. That is why I followed my instinct to click the link and become a researcher of The Truth. Peace and Love!! When it comes to flat Earth, sometimes people almost believe that everyone else is trying to hide the truth from them. If you really feel that way, you're already self-isolated. Think about it, there is 7 billion people on the planet, and most people are trying to hide the truth from you. You call this a conspiracy? If the majority knows the truth, but you're told lies, it is not a conspiracy, but you're just an outsider who doesn't deserve to know better. Being suspicious and paranoid of those who you depend on for you development certainly won't help you understand the world, realize yourself or do anything with your life. Just saying how one can interpret your suspicion of everyone. In fact, claiming that the scientists know nothing, but you know better, without being a scientist, makes you extremely arrogant and at the same naive. You might feel that way, but you will be left out. A good indicator of how much you know and how well you understand the world is your social position and your relations with others. Apparently, if someone is an outsider he doesn't have a clue how to understand the rules of this world and help himself develop in it, so it is very unlikely he would be right about any conspiracy either, because obviously he doesn't understand even the world he lives in with its basic rules. If he is right, then it is unclear why he prefers to be outside of everything. Is it fear? If it is fear, then what is the point? You would be paralysed and helpless. I seriously doubt most conspiracists have a clue of what is going on. It is an unhealthy aspiration to debunk everything, because you can't participate in the real life and you want to rebel against those who somehow managed to make it, and you didn't. Anyway, some conspiracies are indeed real, but being aware of them is absolutely not equivalent to being awake, because it is none of your business anyway. You need to first prove in your personal life that you have a clue how to operate and function within the small group of people you live with and only then if you're at a higher and more responsible position it is your job to understand how the other layers function, otherwise it is just a waste of time and you might spend your whole life being an outsider, and you won't have any impact on anyone. Those who you would have an impact on would be the other outsiders who no one pays attention to. So knowing about a conspiracy is not some sort of prize for being smart and very insightful, because it doesn't give you absolutely anything unless it is your business to deal with it, but it is clearly not if you're renegades and have no say on anything that happens around you. It might give you some relief though that at least you know how the others achieve their goals, however, it is extremely abstract. It is like studying the theory of sex without ever planning to do it. Wow, this is the worst comment made on serendipitous.boards.net/ and it's not even done under Acenci. Don't question authority, everyone! It's 'none of our business anyway.' That in fact shows our freedom of speech, and respect at once. He may have what I call "mainstream" opinions, but he expressed them respectfully. So, for once I am proud of our administrator for that post, where he expressed his thoughts respectfully. The problem instead will be when the lizard will find out that we are allowing people to be insulted on this board, as yesterday someone who was called "disgusting liar", "bullshitter", and my peacemaking intervention was called "spamming" by the administrator. Hopefully the lizard will then stress out those contradictions, and this will urge the administrator to enforce mutual respect, as I've always recommended. The worse that can happen is that I get banned from a forum that doesn't share my values. As has already happened at IFERS anyway.

No silly movements UNLESS they pretend they're boosting the space station orbit. I'm sure many of you have seen this bullshit with then sitting tehre supposedly moving along as the space station gets boosted. It's comical as hell...BUT, it's not the issue. the issue is Cady Coleman not being able to control, her movements. We know it's not boosting up and we know by ebing told that it's in a nice stable orbit, yet she defies it. Why? Because like someone said earlier. She's on a harness with a green screen behind her and this harness is not playing ball with her. She kills it all off when she brings in her knees and stops dead as if she's just landed on a table or something. Seriously, if people cannot see this for the bullshit it is, then they deserve to be duped for their entire lives. The laughable people are those that claim to see the ISS in the sky and some that pretend they managed to video it. You see, one minute it's so hard to catch and the next it seems piss easy. It depends on the quality of liar. To be fair, most of them are dire liars just like NASA'S bunch of bozo's sent out for minimum wage, plus time and a half to spew nonese to the waiting public. They resign a comfortable so called suttle with it's glide back to Earth ability for decades and decide that the cramped skinny soyuz rocket and return to Erth cone on a parachute is the way forward.
