Some guy that uses the same avatar that I do, posted over on IFERS. It is the first avatar available if you use a face, and if you don't change the face. So I was lazy and took the first one, and that guy apparently was lazy and did the same. And that lazy dude is talking about a "higher self", which is against my Biblical beliefs anyway. And Eric should know that. Yet Eric insisted on thinking it was me, and actually calling out the guy. Shooting himself in the foot with yet another person trying to support him. Eric is crazy. But Eric must be reading this board all the time. I just made that my avatar like a day and a half ago.  |

If he were smart, here's my advice to him. You've got over 300 members there and potentially a lot of traffic. It could become the best flat earth forum there is.
Get some good tolerant moderators who will patrol the forum (each moderator with his sub-section) and ensure:
1) mutual respect
2) serious tone (no joking around, no smileys allowed)
Then unban all the dozens of members whom you have banned and accused of being "shills". Write one post apologizing to all of them at once.
Make peace with everyone, including all the famous truthers (e.g. Mark Sargent) you have accused of being shills, without being certain about it - partly you lost your temper out of jealousy (which I understand given all the years you have worked on the subject, but your bad temper is counterproductive).
The alternative is to keep allowing our forum to grow at your expense. Every day we get one new member thanks to your behavior. Eventually you will always have your 3 fans, and hundreds of banned users.
You can't call IFERS a "forum" and ban those who respectfully disagree with you (and without antagonizing you), according to your fits of anger. I never even said "you're wrong about this" but only "maybe Sargent is not a shill". Let alone the others who were responsible of even smaller crimes.
Another tip: make someone else the administrator. Someone who will let everyone join and not ban anyone unless they're disrespecting other members. Make your forum about "peace" and not just your signature.

Now, you may be tempted to say flat earth truth always has an alternative hypothesis for everything, but this is not the case. I believe the earth to be flat, and I believe 1+1=2, and I believe 911 was an inside job, and chemtrails exist... and have many more opinionated opinions (much more than average). But I do not have the certainty that Mark Sargent is a shill. That is why I was kicked out of IFERS by the way. |

IFERS is pathetic. They actually believe that was me. And they actually believe we want back into a racist, hateful, paranoid tiny group of people that think everybody but them is "employed by the government". They are suffering from delusions of grandeur. |

Yes, delusions of grandeur, and we might not be immune from it. The greater our belief in our ideals, the greater the risk. They really seem to be blinded by their beliefs.
Well, if they all changed personality, they would not be intolerant anymore. We would have achieved a great objective. We would not be going back to a "racist, hateful, paranoid" group, but to one that has apologized to everyone, that has changed attitude and personality. Maybe it won't happen, but I see no other way out for them. They can't keep on going this way. Their theories are just too unpopular to be as intolerant as mainstream media is. I am not saying their theories are necessarily wrong, but they cannot afford to have such minority beliefs and on top of it be so intolerant, because in such a way they will never manage to convince anyone and make a difference, which would seem their objective. Let alone their objective of "peace", which they certainly will not achieve with their present attitude.

Thanks for joining us. Unfortunately Jess left us a few days ago (without any warnings, explanations nor leaving any contacts), and since then, the forum has been lagging in participation. I hope Jess will return. Thanks for joining us. There is still Lion here, who was one of @jess's favorite members, for sharing views on Christianity and the Bible. In fact, there was one complaint by Jess, about the fact that some members shared different points of view and it was tiring and unpleasant to have to debate with them all the time. I won't mention their names, to not cause any further conflicts. I defended those members in the name of freedom of speech and mutual respect, but if Jess got tired about the arguments, I can still understand that point of view as well. However, since we were lacking those two values at IFERS, I fought hard to implement them here, although I didn't realize that there was a risk of losing founding members of this forum. I would not have criticized them as frequently, had I known they were about to leave. I thought we would all agree on these values. Unfortunately I was slightly wrong. And I went on a witch hunt for mutual respect, so now everyone is gone. |

I am sure you're very tolerant, polite and just. Of course, that is only before you start interpreting what people say as personal insults, then you would badmouth everyone in return. Of course, that is justified, because you're the victim who never deserved the treatment. Just because you carefully choose your insults doesn't make you very kind and polite. Not to mention that you use all forums to advertise yourself in one way or another, and much less to debunk or analyze the problem at hand. The forums are not about you! You keep looking at them as a place where you would be valued. That is not the idea of a forum. The idea is to exchange ideas and argue for and against them.

LIT, but discussion first of all requires tolerance. And you don't have that in you, because you think your opinions are the truth, and others are "trolling", as you say all the time. So, I ask you, as I gave you a chance for 6 weeks, to now give me a chance as administrator and join my forum. Regarding getting offended, since I am administrator, I've already written on the constitution of FSR that I will not get offended because there is a risk of abusing my power: fsr.boards.net/post/1/thread
