Yes, it would appear that they have good purposes in mind, and that is why people are still watching TV, and hearing how much their government loves them.

But if we look at chemtrails (if we believe in theory of chemtrails, and the chemicals they are dropping on us), we start to see some discrepancy. If we look at public health and the way they cure cancer (and believe in the Big Pharma conspiracy theory), we also see a different picture... if we keep looking... at least I came to the conclusion that the governments have been hijacked by the secret societies and only represent their peoples very partially. 

So yes, it seems superficial to just say "the government is evil", but it seems more correct than thinking "the government loves me", as they would like to show us on TV.

But this also varies from country to country. The USA will not be like Pitcairn Islands, that has 56 inhabitants. In a country as small as that, the government is lead by your relatives, so in a sense, if you live in the Pitcairn Islands, the government does love you.
