Hi, I've just joined this forum after being banned from IFERS FIVE times for being a shill. Hopefully there's less dictators here..... Anyway this is what I waned to post: Q603 - Cape Town to Brisbane: www.cunard.co.uk/cruise-search/book-a-cruise/cruises/qu/1336-q603-cpt2-bne1/ports-and-excursions/Leaves Mauritius on the evening of the 4th Feb 2016 - arrives at Perth Australia early morning on the 12th Feb 2016 max speed 27mph x 24 hours x 12 days = 7776 miles. Anyone know what this distance should be on the FE map?

Welcome to the forum, moonshine. I had been observing the evolving of your situation at IFERS on these two journal entries... serendipitous.boards.net/post/3258/threadserendipitous.boards.net/post/3298/thread...and I was hoping that you would join us. Many like-minded freethinkers will come to this thread and address your question, which I can't answer. I can however give you already two related threads: serendipitous.boards.net/thread/200/sailing-australia-south-americaserendipitous.boards.net/thread/213/ship-finder-marine-trafficPlease, if you have a minute, write a brief summary of your experience on the "Freshly banned" thread... serendipitous.boards.net/post/3174/thread...where all of us banned "shills" have written on, to better keep track (in one place) of our experiences at IFERS. It could even be a simple copy/paste of your post above. Here, we are trying to build a community of freethinkers which can compete with Dubay's groupthink forum, thanks to free speech and respect, which are clearly lacking there, as you pointed out in one of your last posts (which Eric deleted, but I saved here), which ended as follows: ifers.boards.net/post/6210/threadBy the way, did you find this place thanks to the banner we have at IFERS? And, if yes, what impression did that banner make on you, as you were being verbally abused, and you kept reading those words, "free speech and respect"?

Yes, but I knew about this board before I clicked your banner. "Serendipitous, free speech and respect" gradually evolved in my perception from an ad banner to an escape route to somewhere nicer. Didn't feel so much verbally abused as treated as a potential idiot/troll/shill until proven otherwise - which, when you've just joined a forum and got banned straight away, is not that easy to do. I'm a fair person and gave the admin the benefit of the doubt in my mind, thought he was having a bad day or something... realised he was a bit wary of shills from other forums etc. maybe I came across wrong for a newbie. Something not right over there, numerous occasions I thought... this bloke should have a blog, not a forum – that way you’re boss of every post and your minions can mumble below you in the comments section. Eric seems a clever lad, writes well, very exacting and rational, a fellow Virgo with a good analytical mind. Maybe the Pisces polarity had an uprising and flipped a messiah script out from within. Who knows? I’m an astrologer by the way, 30 years ago I tried to disprove it... still trying. So I’m doing my own reassessing of the potential FE world I might prove to myself I live in, so as to re-fit astrology into the bigger picture. Seems much friendlier here so far.

Yeah, much friendlier here, definitely. Your astrology will be an interesting topic for many threads to come. Here we are mostly IFERS veterans so we know exactly how you are feeling. In fact, after an entire month, I am still frustrated about that experience. I joined his IFERS forum a few hours after he founded it, I wrote 500 posts on that forum, promoted it everywhere for its first month of life, and then one day, Dubay wakes up, and decides that I am a "shill", summary execution, and here I am, on this forum founded a year earlier by LIT, who is also an IFERS veteran, whom I had met on the The Flat Earth Society forum, which has freedom of speech, but where people are joking all the time.

I love the idea of the FE model but if these voyages can be proven to have taken place within the time scale given then I have a serious issue with that model, or at very least with the proposed map distances.

moonshinePersonally, I think the Flat Earth map is absolutely impossible, but they would do whatever it takes to manipulate the few confused ones that everything is just fine. I am not sure what the goal is, but it is surely complete disinformation, because the theory and the map are wrong. First, the flights don't take place, now the voyages don't take place! Come on people, are you ever going to admit that you're wrong about something? Everyone would believe you if you really had evidence. I would like to see when they would actually stop making things up and openly admit they only wish the Earth were flat, but can't prove it.

Yes. I think the ptb want 'Flat Earther' as the new 'conspiracy theorist'. C.T. has become a bit old (tin-foil) hat. Let's face it, to the average Joe it's fucking preposterous to say the earth might not be a globe; you have to have done a lot of rabbit hole before you'll go near the idea. So we'll see more Youtube comments appearing that will degrade the truth movement big time, with links to FE celebs' web forums where the average Joe can actually see real people who 'actually really believe that shit'. Surely people can't move forward with a new world flatness while a small bunch of humans pass you by in a cruise ship.... on an imaginary rainbow shaped wave of water, transmutating out of harbours and re-appearing on the other side of the 'rim' on schedule. Crowdfunding a cruise ticket for Eric seems to be a logical way forward. Book it online in his name and throw down the truth gauntlet.

Hey im what you call your average joe. Ive been doing research on the whole flat earth thing and i find it very interesting. Im open to it but one thing stands out for me. Everywhere i have checked has said that there are no direct flights in the Southern Hemisphere. Well i have a direct flight from perth to mauritius and the flight time is 8 hours. Would it still be 8 hours on a flat earth map?

Yeah, like acenci already mentioned, no one really knows what the real FE map looks like, but there are people who are trying to figure it out. Dr.Zack is one of them www.youtube.com/user/MrZtotheO/videosAs for the curvature, there should be some curvature, but it is unlikely that we live on a globe. The globe idea is just a convenient way to explain the universe but not necessarily true.

Lit, you said you were interested in methods for measuring curvature that did not take place over water. There is a very simple method that uses a basic inexpensive builders/engineers optical automatic level. These levels use a hanging prism to position a cross hair with very great accuracy compared to the error the claimed curvature of the earth would create.
