What if the truth was more simple than it looks? Perhaps the greatest manipulaters are those who make things too complex that only a few elite can understand
I could be wrong, but let's say we do an expirement relying on our intuition, how far and accurate can intuition go?
Suppose we are approached by someone with a gun, and puts the gun onto your head, and asks you to answer his or her question immediately in dead simple terms
Knowing your life is at stake, you must answer a direct answer in dead simple words from the gut
So if someone comes up to you and asks, what is the shape of the earth and why? What is the immediate reaction? What words would you spill out?
Kind of a daring thought expirement, may not be reliable at all, probably terrorizing and psychological damaging too
Please do not try this at home

After having been de-programmed from believing the mainstream propaganda, I would answer like this:
It is flat, because what sense does it make that a ball full of water stands in the middle of nothing, and furthermore, the water doesn't fall down, and even more surprisingly, then we are told that it spins around... this is what I would answer with a gun to my head.
Unless of course it was a gun held by a round-earther, and then he probably wants another answer.

That was a dead quick response, wonder what if we had the gun, and how the round earthier would respond
(Just an imagining, thought expirement, gosh there may be someone out there think I am a slayer)
The scary thing is what if there is no why, that everything is like it is? Perhaps the simplest of things cannot be explained by the mere human mind
What if the earth was just is?
The earth is.
Is what? Flat? Round? Ugly?
It is like explaining who God is
I am who I am
I am what? Old? Young? Ugly?
Or the world is not ready for it, if someone is not willing or ready to take the next step they will forever be locked in their own cage
We know the earth is not round, yet there are speculation and hints of a concave earth, or a hollow earth, or a cylindrical one, or an infinite flat plane
What if the earth was actually the heavens? What if the earth is another upside down world and there is another world that exists on top of that?
What if they earth was one of the atoms?
It is interesting to see people discuss various theories and piecing the puzzle together, I think a totalitarian forum is the one that will be dead
Perhaps the earth is multidimensional , no matter how we see it, it will appear different each time
I like to see what it is like to stand in another perspective, and see what supports it
Anyway the seek to find the true nature of the shape of the earth is fascinating , the chase is sometimes better than the catch

Yes, and the totalitarian forum is a method that tries to mold 100 minds into one, thereby wasting the potential from those 100 minds and destroying itself in the process (because members usually don't enjoy groupthink).
Instead the unconstrained method could turn your "chase" into a relay race, where each one takes the reasoning a little further.

Oh yea totally forgot about the Ozon Layer, the fear machine wasn´t strong enough there. Radiation on the other hand man that book was terrifying and the Zombies in School didn´t gave a shit about it.

Part of my philosophy would be to take something as a grain of salt , we can never be sure about anything, and we cannot worship the facts and stop
I think we by nature were designed to keep running, the more we run, the more we are alive
Since this world might have an existence that is beyond ours, we must always be open to new ideas , any thumping is not recommended

Interesting topic. I agree, I think we over analyse things and we tend to look for and at the magic of things rather than actually seeing what's behind the supposed magic we adhere to...or to put it more crude: what we are basically forced into accepting as a maical reality.
Let's look around us. Look at life itself. Forget about us clothed humans, who are at a point of building our own transport systems/craft. Let's look at what we were when we first came about on Earth.
We were simply mutations like all other things. Merely bacteria that mutated over time. Yes, I'm talking about evolution but that's not the argument or the debate I'm after. I'm merely saying that we were and stilla re simply bacteria that learned to adapat as time went on. We learned to build things that, to us, are amazing things. How amazing are they? Is a spiders web amazing? what tools does a spider have to spin that and what blue print did it use? how come all spiders seem to be good at it?
Now let's all of us go hunting for cotton plants and then gather enough to make our own clothes. How many people will be wearing decent well made clothes?...Hahaha. Very few of us.
The thing is, if we taught people to make their own clothes, they all would and all would eventually be good at it and that would be passed down in your make up because your mind and body is transferred to your offspring. It's like making a video and copying the video as a hand me down.
You train dogs to ride bikes and in time the pups will learn to ride them much qicker and the pups from thos pups will be quicker and more adapted. In a number of years down the line, you have dogs with a shape that allows them to easily ride a bike. Sounds silly but it's true if you're willing to look at how people and animals adapt. It litrally is the survival of the fittest and the adaptable.
The slow mutants get let behind as what they were, whilst the adaptable ones are taking on a more educated stance on moving up the chain. So who are the slow ones?...We are, because we are the ones that are going to be left behind like gorillas and chimps were whilst the story telling magicians move to the next educated level ,leaving us at the fantasy level of believing we float about space on a spinning ball with a huge sun to keep us warm.
How can we move on if we won't see what's in front of our faces? How can we change of we are kept at bay with all kinds of medicines?
When you were a kid you were told not to put your fingers in the fire or you burn yourself. None of us listened. We wanted to make sure. We soon learned that it was true and yet, we didn't attempt to deliberately do it again. Those same parents who told us about the fire, also told us about santa being responsible for out presents and the tooth fairy for leaving cash for teeth.
Hmmm...let's just stick our fingers in that fire just one more time because these parents are being tricky. That's what the THEORETICAL science world is doing to us right now. They are forcing us to keep touching that fire to see if it's still true. The problem with this one is, we are back to the santa and fairy shenanigans. We cannot actually, physically prove what's true and what isn't , except to grow up and see what's in front of us and accept some things (fire) are true and yet other's are clearly fantasy that are held onto as reality even to the point of us following the same trend.
When water is level and can be used as a level. When you can walk a flat path and not feel dizzy or unbalanced in any way by your sensitive balancing mechanism. When you go to Australia and you don't feel any different to being in the so called northern part of the world, then your senses must tell you that the logical reason for it is because the world is essentially flatish. It totally discards the notion in any form that it is a ball spinning in a vacuum around a burning nuclear sun that requires no oxygen to work.
Why do people choose to follow the illogical and stupid complicated path? The same reason that people prefer to sit open mouthed watching magicians at play and beg for more and yet even seeing the same tricks played, they don't attempt to try and figure out how the trick is done and prefer it to remain as magic. Real magic.
When we live in a world inhabited by people like this, who prefer to follow protocol and refuse to use their own logic and common sense...what chance has humanity god in their masses, other than to fall on their swords when ordered to by the few magicians that decide.
Nobody wants to believe we're trapped in a prison cell Earth. The fantasy is to leave in a rocket and go to another planet, like Earth's except with maybe golden frogging fleeces hanging from trees and fruit as big as your head. Lol.

@sceptimatic
So you believe the Earth is concave and not flat or convex?

@sceptimatic So you believe the Earth is concave and not flat or convex? Essentially I believe the Earth to be flatish. The concavity of it is what the oceans sit in. Now think of this for land. All water runs to the oceans, whether that's rainfall or waterfall. Our sewage systens follow an decline to the sea. If Earth was perfectly flat then we would never lose rainwater. We would be essentially flooded in short order. So, in a nutshell, I believe the Earth is slightly concave. I don't believe it's massively concave like some do. I do not believe in space as we are told. I do not believe in a sun that is 93 million or even a few hundred miles above Earth. I believe Earth is domed in hydrogen/helium, etc, ice and the sun is in the centre of this Earth and what we see in the sky is simply a reflection of all things from the centre. People believe the centre to be the north pole. I don't agree with that at all. Just like Antarctica isn't the rim. What we know as the north and south poles are merely ringed around the centre of Earth. One half of the ring is north and the other is south. There is no rim as such that we can see as any ice wall because we can't reach it due to it being so cold that humans nor machine or animal can function. The closest we can get is ocean then icebergs and not much further outwards. There's a lot more to it but essentially I'm giving you my basic thoughts. My Earth is unique. It doesn't follow all otehrs. It resembles the odd thoughts in some ways. The main thing is, it's not a spinning globe, nor a stationary one that we live on top and underneath of. I think we can establish that fact and the fact that we should learn to at least give all of the alternatives, thought, because the goal is to destroy the globe model by delving into as much thought to the contrary as possible.
