Since we're on the spherical earth sub-forum, I will gather here images of astronauts in space or space travel, that seem credible: Space Station Crew Member Discusses Fitness in Space with Italian Students - YouTubeThis is an Italian astronaut. This video from NASA lasts a long time, and I don't see how that puppet can float as it is floating, and I don't see evidence of her being on that famous zero gravity plane used to simulate weightlessness. So how is this video being faked?

Maybe it is real, I don't know how the stuffed toy is floating. But look here how she bends over and her hair really hits the banner and the hair pops right back up in place. Her hair touches the banner through out the video, but this is the biggest brush or her hair and the banner I have seen so far.
Just scanned some of it and kept it on mute. I don't see why having no gravity would cause her hair to behave that way. Why doesn't it go flat when she shakes her head or when it hits the banner. Her hair is short but long enough to be apparently floating up.

Yes, she definitely has a perm.
Good point... I hadn't noticed.
And definitely most of these videos from space are fake.
However, I can't explain the duration of the video (not in one of those planes for sure) combined with the puppet and the microphone floating (and clearly not being attached to any strings).
So, yes, there is probably fakery here, too, but, as we both agree, not all things in this video can be explained.

The floating toy and mic look like they're really there floating around with her. They also seem like props to remind us of weightlessness. I'd like to know if anyone has any explanation for this. The only thing that comes to my mind is if it is possible the mic and the stuffed toy are somehow filled with helium or another gas to the point they could float. It seems like there'd have to be a lot of pressurized gas to make them float though. I just read helium is twice as heavy as hydrogen, so maybe there are even better gases. Not sure why the hair looks like it's hair sprayed in place but have items really floating in space.

Yes, she seemed to be insisting a bit too much on that stuffed toy in the air.
However, I also have to add another detail that goes against our "space fakery beliefs": her flesh and skin seemed those of someone who is not on earth (gravity or other force did not seem to be pulling her flesh down).

I don't know, I'd have to take a closer look at her face and compare.
Here she is on the ground,
I think that might be too subjective but not a bad point. Someone could claim there's make up and her hair is different so that might effect our perception of her face too. I have tried to keep an eye on her wrist watch. It looks like it's on tight but sometimes it could seem like it is weightless but I would have to watch it more. Just caught some glances but it's hard to tell.

Here she is in space with lots of make up and her done. Looks like hair spray or gel to keep her hair styled.
Do they take hair spray up into space? Seems like a very unnecessary thing to bring and I think there would be a combustion or explosion hazard. Could be gel.

My eyebrows stick up like something out of a horror movie unless i cut them shorter. Hairspray in space would be terrible as it would fly everywhere and make everywhere sticky. Gel would work better. Clean Hair in space when you are not rapidly moving would behave similarly to what it does in water when you are not moving. Seems to be just physics to me.

I agree that hairspray in space would be terrible. I am just not assuming it is in space. Your comment, "Clean Hair in space when you are not rapidly moving would behave similarly to what it does in water when you are not moving.", is essentially my point. The first video her hair isn't moving like you say it would underwater. In the video of the post that you quoted me, she is apparently in space with make up on and her hair done.

What i am saying about clean hair in water that is not moving much, is that hair in space will behave similarly if you are not moving rapidly. Gelled hair is not clean hair. Either way gelled hair in space is going to behave differently than on earth - if you want it to. Eg you can have far spikier, far more bulky looking hair in space for less effort than is required on earth. I am assuming it is easy to find examples of people with 'big hair' under water where they are not moving so we have an idea what clean hair in space will do. Not ideal but a few examples when they are staying still for a while. Water of course has much more influence on hair than the much less dense air can do.

In my experience hair under water doesn't behave the way it does in the first video. Her hair brushes the the banner as she bends forward and the hair goes right back into place. So, are you saying her hair was styled that way in the first video and that's why it's like that? Because it seems like you are focusing on the second hair video when that was just an aside comment. Rather than addressing the first video where I am saying it doesn't seem like how hair would behave.
I don't care how the hair in the 2nd video behaves. It looks like normal gelled or hair sprayed hair, with lots of it.

Fine hair has almost no natural ability to spring into place. Most people do not have fine hair. Each strand is effectively a spring attached to your scalp

The video I am talking about is in the posts before the one you have quoted. The first video of this thread which I then commented on. My second post where I gave the link with the specific time on the video. You don't know that one?
(by the way, In the video you just posted, that looks like hair that is relatively close to weightless.)

Pretty interesting, because I just said what video I was referring to, and specifically which post that I gave the link to, in the quote of your last post. How many posts is this going to go on for? I don't have time to recap this thread, it's all there in sequential order......I'm done for this thread for now.
