I have not read anything about Lemuria, but the ancient Greeks believed in a land beyond the southern ocean which they called Terra Australis. This geographical concept of a southern land called Terra Australia survived largely intact in the west until the eighteenth century when it was replaced by the fabrication of a continent arbitrarily named Antarctica at the southern end of a sphere.

In my opinion, the extremities of Africa and South America are not the corners of the earth. These four corners exist on an outer earth beyond the ocean of which existence the map of Antarctica was fabricated to conceal and of which Terra Australis constitutes the southern edge.

All the hyperbole about Atlantis as an island in the middle of the western ocean is erroneous. The fact is that Plato's dialogue mentioned a large continent named Atlantis past the western ocean which was submerged by a great flood. It's real simple: the continent which Timaeus talked about is simply South America which was temporarily submerged during Noah's flood just like the rest of the world.
