Well, in case anyone has doubts, both Eric and Mark are wildly speculating. It seems Eric tries to stick to real evidence much more than Mark does, so I understand him when he is mad at Mark for making stuff out of thin air, but Eric also speculates. That is a normal thing given the topics in question. You can clearly see this when Lisa is asking Mark some random questions. He can't reply coherently at all. It is just wild guesses at best. No evidence. I doubt they are paid to do it. They seem to be doing it on their own. They might be hoping to earn some money and popularity. It is more appropriate to use the term bullshitters than shills:) I guess this applies more to Mark than Eric, as Eric seems to know the subject better, so what he says is based on more reading into the sources. However, using big words and being cocky about your claims doesn't make them true and it doesn't provide any more evidence and insight. But they would not be so popular if they would admit it is just guesswork and not research. You can't do research by watching other people's videos. That is basically researching the speculations, but not the reality. I am yet to see a flat Earther who actually went out and studied the world and came to conclusions. The Bedford canal experiment was a step in the right direction. People should do more stuff like that if they expect others to consider their "discoveries". Otherwise, it is very close to fiction and fantasy. I also hope that at least one flat Earther would try to get to Antarctica on an organized tour and share their experiences afterwards. |

Very good analysis, LIT. I felt the same way. Eric knows a bit more about the topic, but, he just got it from books in the 1800's and 1900's. Mark is a bit more chatty, but Mark did do a good job with the flight paths, which Eric unwisely ignores. They both are trying to make a name for themselves, and Eric is far more unstable than anyone I've seen in this movement.

On the other hand, what Mark talks about does indeed support the regular flat Earth map with the ice rim. What if there is nothing wrong with the flights and Mark is wrong? Can't we verify this? |

It does seem that the flights support the regular flat earth map. But Matt Boylan said, as we all know, that all the maps are off, and so we have to use the flight times to determine the map, and not the other way around. I'm not saying that Matt is the authority, but he seems to give insights that I never thought of. That being the case, the SH flights that go from one SH place to another SH place, virtually all stop in the NH somewhere. The very few nonstop flights, make secret refueling stops, so their supposed "12 hour flight times" are a hoax. The user, "Zetetic Flat Earth" showed that in one of their videos. It is almost kind of fun, trying to discover how things really work. |

I agree. Great thought provoking interview. Did cringe a bit when he invited skeptics to his message board. They obviously have a slap in the face coming when they go over there to express even the slightest criticism. The interview was all about flat eart but the forum is all about shillaphobia. Hope he keeps giving interviews but needs to come to his senses with the ifers board if he wants his ideas to have a positive effect.

I forgot, I need to call him and he will tell me. It is strange then that in all the interviews he gave he failed to provide it. I hate it when people repeat lies. The flight times are just fine. It is only in Mark's head that something is wrong in the southern hemisphere. If you think he is right let's have a debate here. I am sure you will lose in 5 minutes.

Eric is not sincere at all. He sounds very sincere in his interviews, but he is not.
I don't think Mark will even debate him with any evidence. He'll just say "Hey, sorry if I put words in your mouth that didn't belong there. Maybe we can squash this beef and move on?" Eric would then somehow try to use that against him.
Eric is avoiding Mark and not the other way around. Everything shows that. Eric is knit picking around the fact that he doesn't care about the Flat Earth Theory or anyone in it. He seems to just want to be a cult leader who's just looking for people to drink his Kool-Aid. Bow down to the leader or you're out!
Hope I'm wrong. I want to hear the exchange man to man, not message board to message board.

Eric is not sincere, because he doesn't have evidence either. They are just fighting for publicity. It wouldn't change a thing if they actually started working together as they have nothing else to say anyway. The topic is exhausted. Mark and Eric have nothing to add to their "theories" without making it up out of thin air. That is the best strategy for them. It appears as if they are enemies when in fact they are helping each other. People follow their videos as if something more important will be shared there. There won't be anything exciting guys. They need to make it up. People are focused on their behavior instead of on the ideas they present which are very weak and easily debunkable.

3 hours is a long time. I have it opened but I'm not sure I can watch it. I heard there's a guy who supposedly swims in irradiated water and says it's no big deal. Radiation does exist though. We also have geiger counters that measures something and we call it radiation. Maybe there are no nukes and this addressed. It's just that the scary thing about nukes is radiation. Are people who say nukes are a hoax also saying that all the animals, humans and food that are irradiated are also hoaxes?
I saw a video on youtube about John Wayne, the cast and the town near where they filmed The Conqueror with nuclear fallout in the dust. Here's a short clip I found but it's not what I originally watched.
It would be good if nukes were a hoax though.
